To the person who decided the Home Depot parking lot was the perfect place to run a hot dog cart today, I genuinely need to know what the thought process was here.
No permit posted anywhere. No handwashing station. Just a grill, a propane tank, and a cooler sitting in the middle of parking spaces like this is some pop up street market. People are trying to pull in with trailers and load lumber while there’s literally food being cooked a few feet away from their trucks.
This isn’t a festival or a food truck event. It’s a hardware store parking lot where customers are hauling drywall, plywood, and heavy equipment. Having a random food cart sitting out there like a backyard cookout doesn’t make any sense.
And before someone says I should just ignore it, food vendors have health rules for a reason. If you’re serving food to the public, there’s supposed to be inspections and permits involved.
This setup looked completely unofficial. A parking lot isn’t the place to start a surprise restaurant.
