Machines telling people how to use them always overcomplicate simple actions. Seeing that note, I pulled down anyway because that is how it should work.

 

Then it jammed and someone nearby pointed at the sign, which made me furious because that instruction made no sense in the first place.

So I kept pulling harder and called staff to fix it immediately, and now the machine is completely broken while I argue that it was faulty from the start.
