It was my girl’s birthday yesterday so i tried to do something nice and get us matching Nike shoes…
i thought i was being smart saving money so i took her to Costco first thinking she’d be excited to pick one out
the second she realized we were actually buying from Costco she switched up so fast and started throwing a whole attitude saying i’m cheap and she doesn’t deserve “Costco stuff” like??? in the middle of the aisle too with people literally watching us. she really thought we were just stopping by then going to some overpriced store after like what kind of delusion is that. i told her she can get whatever pair she wants there and i’ll grab the black ones and she just kept going acting embarrassed like i dragged her somewhere beneath her
I was so embarrassed i just left her there because if you’re the type to ruin a simple moment over something like that then you’re actually exhausting. what’s wrong with a $22 Nike at Costco?? since when did that become some kind of downgrade. some girls really care more about where it’s bought than what it actually is and it’s weird
I left her $20 for an uber and walked out because i’m not dealing with that. if that doesn’t even cover your ride home then that’s not my problem either. at this point i realized she doesn’t even deserve me acting thoughtful if this is how she reacts over shoes
