I spent extra money when booking our flight because my kid really wanted a window seat. The website literally labeled it “window,” so I paid more without even thinking twice. We finally board the plane, find our row, and I look over… and there’s no window. Just a wall and the seat next to it.
My kid immediately starts asking where the window is, and I’m sitting there confused because we paid specifically for that seat. I call over one of the flight attendants and explain that we paid extra for a window seat and this clearly isn’t one. They look at the seat number, shrug, and basically tell us that’s the seat we were assigned and there’s nothing they can do about it.
At that point I’m not letting it go because we literally paid extra for something we didn’t get. I started asking how it’s legal to sell a “window seat” that doesn’t even have a window. My kid’s upset, I’m upset, and the crew keeps telling us to just sit down and stop arguing.
Next thing I know they call security, escort us off the plane, and we end up missing our flight completely. The worst part is we were traveling for our grandma’s funeral. So we paid extra for a window seat that didn’t exist, got thrown off the plane for complaining about it, and missed the funeral because of it.
