IS THIS WHAT I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY FEBRUARY?! Valentine’s is coming up and my girl is being so cringe. I came home from a long day of work and found her hanging these paper decorations all over the stairs and railings. It is so childish and over the top, she’s acting like we’re 15 years old instead of adults with a mortgage.
She spent three hours making these when she could have been doing anything else productive. I told her the whole setup looks tacky and now she is giving me the silent treatment. To make matters worse, she also bought these matching Valentine’s pajamas and got mad because I refuse to wear them. She actually started crying saying I’m ruining the spirit of the holiday just because I don’t want to look like a giant heart.
Am I the bad guy for wanting my house to look like a home and not a kindergarten classroom? I’m seriously considering taking them all down while she’s asleep and telling her the cat did it.
