I’m sorry but WHEN did going to the damn movies turn into a full-on “luxury” experience??
I went to AMC thinking I was just gonna casually watch a movie… why did it feel like I was paying a small utility bill ??
The ticket alone?? $18 Cool, whatever. But the SECOND you even LOOK at the concession stand, it’s over.
A popcorn and a drink combo is like $15–$35… FOR POPCORN and a DRINK. As far as snacks go… I almost shit myself. Not paying $8 bucks for a bag of gummies or $6 bucks for a candy bar

So now I’m sitting here doing the math like… okay so to watch a 2-hour movie I need to take out a loan or what??
And don’t even try to say “just don’t buy snacks” because be serious… what is a movie without popcorn?? That’s literally part of the experience.
So now it’s like:
$15+ ticket
$15 popcorn
$8 drink
$6-10 snacks
And suddenly I’m $30–$40 deep just to sit in a chair and watch a screen??
I’m sorry but this is INSANE.
