WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO TIP LIKE I JUST FUNDED A SMALL BUSINESS???

I just got the bill and tell me why the LOWEST option starts at 20% like that’s the minimum now?? My total is already $289 and now I’m supposed to casually add another $60–$80 on top like it’s nothing. I thought tipping was supposed to come from the heart, not feel like I’m being cornered into it. At this point I might as well just pay for me and my girl and act like that’s already the “extra” because why does it feel like I’m paying for another whole meal again??

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not against tipping, but this setup feels pushy. Everything is pre-calculated, they hand it to you, and suddenly you’re the bad guy if you don’t pick one. Are people really this thirsty for tips now that it’s basically expected no matter what?? Because this doesn’t feel optional anymore, it feels like pressure.

At this point just include it in the price and stop making it awkward. I came here to eat, not to do math and feel judged over it. Normalize $0 tip when the service is just average.
