After all the hints I’ve been dropping about wanting the latest iPad, that’s what he decided to spend his bonus check on.
He’s standing there smiling, waiting for some big grateful reaction, and all I could think was how far off the mark he was. I’ve been pretty clear about the kind of tech I actually use, and a basic e-reader is not even close to the same thing as a new iPad.
