m staring at this checkout screen and I’m beyond done with how businesses are trying to nickel and dime us for literally existing!!
So now not only are we being hit with a tip screen for a basic transaction, but there’s also a 3% card fee tacked on like it’s a normal business practice. The sign literally says “credit card convenience fee”, as if paying to use my own money is some kind of luxury privilege now.
If you want to push people to use cash, then just say that. A 3% cash discount sounds way better than a 3% penalty just for using a card, but they chose the most annoying way possible to handle this. I’m already paying for the food, then the fee, and then you flip that tablet around at me with 15%, 18%, 20%, and 30% tip options like I’m supposed to feel guilty. Yeah, no. This is stupid business, and that tip is getting skipped every single time.
