Today is actually the saddest day of my life because I finally decided to give my girl a promise ring but she turned it down just because I put it in a pokeball. I was so excited to surprise her but the moment she saw it she called me a weirdo in front of everyone and said she was embarrassed to be with someone so immature. I am so hurt right now because all her friends were there laughing while she made me feel like a loser for trying to be creative and fun.
I put so much thought into this and for her to reject a symbol of my loyalty because it did not fit her aesthetic is just gross. She said she is ashamed that I used a pokeball instead of a normal velvet box and she walked away and left me standing there like a fool. Some girls are so ungrateful and only care about how things look on their feed rather than the actual heart behind the gesture. I am done with her drama because if you cannot appreciate a man who tries to make things special then you do not deserve the ring at all.
