Last night I went on a Tinder date with this girl and everything seemed pretty normal. We hung out for a while and eventually went back to my place. Nothing about it seemed that weird at the time.
When I woke up this morning I looked over at my desk and saw all the money from my wallet scattered across it. At first I thought maybe I left it there the night before, but then I looked closer and realized every single $100 bill was gone. All the smaller bills were still sitting there on the desk.
That’s when it clicked. She literally took only the $100 bills and left everything else like she thought I wouldn’t notice. The evidence was right in front of my face.
I tried reaching out to her immediately and realized she had already blocked me everywhere. Then a little later I got this weird text from an unknown number that said, “Thanks for paying for my girl’s flight back home. You’re the best.”
That’s when I realized the whole thing was a setup. She never liked me at all. She just needed the money to get back to her country where her boyfriend lives.
