$10.97 for my sandwich,

$10.97 for my sandwich, and before I could even blink, this screen pops up asking if I want to tip 18, 20, or 22 percent. For what exactly? I ordered at the counter, grabbed my own food, filled my own drink, and cleaned my own table. The only thing they handed me was the receipt.

And the worst part? It makes you feel like a bad person if you hit ‘No Tip.’ Like suddenly you’re the villain for not tipping on a ten-dollar takeout order. There’s already a jar full of cash sitting right next to the card reader—how many different ways do we have to tip now?

It’s not about being cheap it’s about how wild this has gotten. Every screen, every app, every register is trying to guilt you into paying more for something that used to just be called “doing your job.” When did ordering a sandwich turn into a social experiment?
