Thanksgiving may have been quieter without her in the passenger seat, but it was free of chaos, fur, and frustration. Sometimes, standing your ground means disappointing others, but it also means protecting your sanity. I chose calm over conflict, and for once, I didn’t let family obligation drive me off course.
