I spent over an hour picking up an order, waiting in lines, and sitting in traffic just to deliver more than $200 worth of food. Gas, mileage, time… all of it adds up. By the time I got to the customer, I was tired but at least hoping the effort would be appreciated.

Then I saw the envelope on the counter. I opened it and it was a 10% tip. Ten percent.

After all that driving, waiting, and going out of my way to get their food there, it honestly felt like my time and effort didn’t matter at all.

Food delivery is a luxury service. People order it for convenience, but a lot of them don’t think about the work behind it. And seeing that tip after everything just made me feel invisible.

If you can’t even tip 20%, don’t order a $200 delivery and expect someone to happily run it to your door.
