To the neighbor complaining about the metal fence going up along the property line, I saw the Facebook post where you made it seem like this came out of nowhere and ruined everything.
What wasn’t mentioned is that for the past year, there’s been repeated use of our yard, cutting across it with vehicles, parking partially on our side during gatherings, and placing trash cans right up against our driveway as if the property line didn’t matter.
We tried addressing it calmly. We mentioned it more than once, pointed out the boundary, and even placed markers that were either ignored or moved. At some point, it becomes necessary to take action when your property continues to be treated like a shared space.
So yes, the fence went up. It follows the property line. No meeting, no committee, just a clear boundary where it’s always been.
If it now feels different on your side, that’s simply the result of having to respect the property line.
