I was pulling into the alley and saw you digging through the dumpster like it was completely normal, pulling stuff out and throwing bags around like it was your personal storage unit. There was trash all over the ground and you were dragging a mattress out of there like you’d just discovered buried treasure.
Maybe you thought nobody would notice, but some of us actually live here and don’t want people rummaging through garbage right outside our building at night. It’s creepy and it makes the whole place look like a dump.
So yes, I called the police and I also reported it to the property management office. If you’re going to be going through trash behind people’s apartments, don’t be surprised when someone says something about it.
Before anyone jumps in saying “he’s just trying to find something useful,” that’s not my problem. This is private property, not a free-for-all recycling center for random people to dig through in the middle of the night. If the police show up and you’re still there, that’s on you
