I moved a lawn chair that was “saving” a parking spot and parked there. Came back to this cute little love letter on my windshield telling me not to take a spot I “didn’t shovel.” First of all, it’s a public street, not your reserved throne. You don’t get VIP parking because you dragged patio furniture into the road like you’re marking territory.
And yeah, they shoveled it. Good for them. Still doesn’t mean they own it. So instead of playing nice, I took the chair, folded it up, and put it in my trunk. If we’re leaving trash in parking spaces to claim them, I’m just helping clean up the neighborhood. You’re welcome. If you want your seat back, maybe don’t try to bully strangers with sticky notes and slurs.
Now apparently I’m “the problem” because I didn’t respect the sacred chair code. Funny how the person trying to gatekeep public asphalt thinks they’re the victim. If you want guaranteed parking, buy a driveway. Until then, it’s first come, first parked.
